The reason why this reality show captures the heart of most people, me included, is that the show exposes the everyday awkwardness and struggles of life that everyone goes through. There is a certain charm that I find in the simplicity of everyday conversation and interaction of strangers trying to get to know each other and the ups and downs that come with it. I appreciate how slow-paced and realistic the show is; essentially mirroring the everyday life of humans going through the pursuit- or lack thereof- of a goal makes many of the interactions raw and organic, along with a series of love affairs too. The way love is discussed within their group and how the confessions, planning, and feelings of devastation or utter happiness that comes with love draws me in. The struggle of finding a true passion in life, the difficulties of job hunting, constant attempts to ask someone out, or just the comfort and support of friends when going through a hard time are just some actions presented in a mundane everyday life. Basically we see the character development and natural evolution of relationships through these house members; whether it be romantic, platonic, or toxic relationships we see it all. As the show progresses and the house members spend more time together, conservations of small talk and trivial things transcend into ones about romance, career, and small everyday things all while developing deepening and lifelong friendships along the way.

Another reason why I love the show is that by observing and watching how the house members act in social situations, I learn how to 'live' through them. Interactions such as the way Yuudai handles criticism when he gets scolded by the older members at his lack of motivation for reaching his goal to become a chef, or the way Yui immaturely acts around Mayu when Yui knows that Noah does not like Mayu back, or Yuudai's obliviousness to handling rejection and not knowing when to stop pursuing someone who does not like you back. It's scenes such as these that make me learn from mistakes that I haven’t even made myself and how to not act in certain situations purely from observing them and it gives me a sense of consideration and sensitivity that I should have towards others.

Not only does the simplicity and realism of the show entice me but the beautifully filmed camerawork tops it all off. The filming and background music is done in a way where the scenes are made to look more dramatic; evoking and bringing out a certain sense of drama and intrigue that constantly keeps me off my seat. Along with that most scenes are also shot in a calm and mellow angle with little to no background music and rather replaced with AMSR-like sounds, such as the sounds of food getting chopped, their breathing, or just the award silences that heighten during such scenes.
